Standard ignition coil with screw top terminal used in classic cars with 6 volt electrical system. The screw top gripped the high tension wire and pressed it down onto the inner contact to prevent internal sparking. This was the original method used before the introduction of the (cheaper) plug-in method and dust/moisture cap.
